The Dubai International Financial Centre, more commonly known as DIFC, is one of the most important legal and business centres in the Middle East region. Located off of Sheikh Zayed Road at the midpoint between the Dubai World Trade Centre and Downtown Dubai, DIFC is home to the headquarters of many leading financial institutions and law firms, as well as Dubai’s stock exchange, NASDAQ Dubai. It is a special economic zone, with its own independent legal framework and jurisdiction.
DIFC is also a major hub of arts and culture, renowned for its many art galleries, and several much-lauded gourmet restaurants. It is home to some of the city’s best-designed buildings, boasting a vibrant architectural mix.
